St Mary's Harrow on the Hill
St Mary's Church has stood at the summit of Harrow Hill for 925+ years.
Its spire is visible for miles around, its roof is a marvel of medieval carving, and it is a treasured local landmark.

When we first launched Spire Café in 2016, it was to support phase one of the church's roof appeal. Thanks to our amazing customers, we were able to contribute over £5,000 towards the £500,000 cost of replacing the roof and its lead covering. Work began on this in March 2018 and was completed at the end of August: for the first time in many years, St Mary's is watertight!
Now that the church's precious medieval roof-carvings are once more protected, attention has moved to saving St Mary's iconic spire.
All of Spire Cafe's profits go towards St Mary's restoration funds - via Spirewatch, charity no 290616): everyone helping here gives their time for free.
